Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Mrs. Ortiz. I am a Kindergarten Teacher at East Handley Elementary School in Fort Worth, TX. I am a graduate of The University of Texas at San Antonio where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and received my Early Childhood - 6th Grade Generalist Teaching Certificate. I completed two practicum semesters and my student teaching semester in Kindergarten classrooms and this is my 2nd year of teaching in my own Kindergarten classroom. Have you noticed a pattern yet? You guessed it - I love Kindergarten!
At home I am a "momma" to two little wiener dogs, Buns and Bowser and a newlywed to my high school sweetheart, Mr. Ortiz. I enjoy crafting, photography, shopping, yoga and catching up on my favorite television shows. I also love to bake! Although cooking is another story... but, I'm working on it. I am an avid reader of both blogs and books and truly believe in the power of reading! I can also usually be found perusing the internet for fun things to do in my classroom... Not to mention my slightly insane addiction to Pinterest.
